Event Marketing in Pune

An event campaign has a fixed end date and a single measure: people in the room. We handle the digital side, and we are clear about which parts belong to you.

What we need

Before we can plan

  • The date, the on-sale date and the sales target.
  • A ticket route that works on a phone, with tracking possible.
  • One person who can approve creative quickly, ideally within a day.
  • Assets: line-up details, photographs, footage and logos, all cleared for use.
Method

How we sequence it

We work backwards from the date, and each phase of content has a different job: announce, build belief, ask for the ticket, then a last call. For the reasoning, read our article on marketing a concert or live event in Pune. We do not publish ticket numbers or budgets for events we have handled unless the organiser has agreed.

Budget

How to think about budget for an event

Split it across three needs: creative and content, paid reach, and the systems that convert interest into tickets, meaning a working page and tracking. Under-investing in the third is a common false economy. Paid reach pointed at a page that fails is wasted at scale. Decide the minimum for each need before dividing what is left.

The ticket page

What it must do

  • Show the date, venue, time and price above the fold on a phone.
  • Explain what is included and how long the event runs.
  • Offer a booking route that works on mobile data and in a few taps.
  • Give a contact route for questions, and be ready to answer them.
  • Be measurable: every booking traceable to a source where possible.
Event day

Content on the day and just after

The event itself is a source of content. Plan who captures it, what is posted live and what is held for a considered edit. The days after are when people remember most warmly, so a quick recap, thanks and a way to hear about the next one builds the audience for the following event.

Risks

What can go wrong, and what to prepare

RiskPreparation
A change of date or venueA message plan and one place where the audience can find the truth
A ticketing platform failureA backup route and someone watching the page
Negative comments or misinformationA person who responds calmly and quickly
A gap in content assetsA list of what is needed and by when
Creators

Choosing creators for an event

  • Audience match: do their followers live in the city and like this kind of event?
  • Engagement quality: do people comment thoughtfully, or is it mostly noise?
  • Track record: have they promoted events before, and did people turn up?
  • Fit with your tone: would you be comfortable seeing this person represent the event?
Partners

Sponsors and partners

Sponsors and partners often have audiences of their own, and their involvement can widen reach. Agree in writing what content they can use, what they must not say, and who approves posts. A partner who feels involved will share more, and one who is surprised by a post will not.

Scale

Large and small

A stadium concert and a school festival need very different budgets, but the logic is the same. A small event with a clear audience and a good page can use the same sequence with a smaller spread of activity.
